My Journey: How Internal Transformation Helped Me Create the Life and Business I Craved
HEY, I'M ALI!
I'm a certified transformational coach. My unique calling is helping you show up for yours. I’m so happy you’re here and we’re connecting!
Since you're poking around the site of a transformational life coach, I'm guessing you're probably here because you're not reaching your goals, and you’re feeling frustrated, unsure, overwhelmed, or stuck. Maybe all of those, and maybe a whole lot more, too. I’ve been where you are. When I started trying to build my vision – the family, freedom, income, career, and lifestyle I dreamed of – my strategy was to just work hard. Plan A was to work my ass off until the results came.
The problem was, the results weren’t coming. I was doing all the things “they” say you’re supposed to do, but I wasn’t getting where I wanted to go. I was exhausted, overwhelmed, and utterly frustrated. Instead of seeing my “just work harder” strategy as flawed, I saw me as flawed, someone who just couldn't hack it. I felt ashamed of myself, and so frustrated with my inability to bring my vision to life.
PLAN A WASN'T WORKING
So, I’d frantically consume personal and professional development, searching for answers and solutions. But the more new info and more new strategies I found, the more overwhelmed, (obviously!) incapable, and (also obviously!) unworthy I felt. All of my frantic consuming and doing led me into chronic overwhelm, and that eventually led to intense, sometimes crippling anxiousness. Creating the life and results I desired felt impossibly hard, I felt ashamed and perpetually behind, my life lacked any shred of balance, and the results weren’t coming.
What was wrong with me? What was I missing?
THE STILL, SMALL VOICE
When I slowed down enough, and got quiet enough -- both rare occurrences -- to really listen to the still, small voice within, it told me that my (lack of) results and current state of duress had something to do with what the books and courses referred to as, “doing the internal work.” And while that was a powerful insight, I had no idea what the hell “the internal work” was, or how to do it!
I learned about a life coaching certification program via one of the (many) podcasts I obsessively binged. This program was, at minimum, a year-long program, and required a significant financial investment. The core methodology of the institute required you to “do your own work,” first, before you learned how to facilitate transformation in others. Maybe this could teach me how to "do the internal work?" Maybe this...?
TRUTH
It wasn't the first life coaching program I’d signed up for. I'd always, always, always wanted a business in the personal development space, but that felt impossibly far away. Who I was being – the energy I lived in and exuded, my deeply held beliefs, limiting self-image, limiting unconscious patterns and programming, what I believed I was worthy and capable of, that stuff – couldn’t support that kind of goal or result. I was scared this program was going to be more of the same old: strategy (information) without any real transformation...but this time with a lot bigger price tag.
Was it worth one last effort? The still, small voice said, "Yes."
That YES changed my life. The program I’d found was the Institute for Coaching Mastery ("ICM"), where I would go on to pursue my Mastery Method coaching certification. I spent the next three years training through ICM, doing my own work (yes, I'd finally learned what that meant, and how to do it!), and learning how to powerfully facilitate transformation in others. I connected to the truth of what’s required to create the results and life we crave. It’s is about power, not force.
WHAT DOES THAT MEAN, IN REAL LIFE?
When you do the internal work to clear the fears, doubts, limiting beliefs, stuck energy, and old unconscious patterns and programming, you can create an aligned strategy that allows results to flow in like a natural consequence. The freedom, lifestyle, and results you crave become the inevitable consequence of who you're being.
Once I did the internal work, the results I craved started to come, but more than that, life started to feel different. No more doing life on the brink burnout, wondering what the chronic stress and anxiousness would do to my body and health. Life felt easier and lighter. And so much more fulling, joyful, purposeful, and fun! I felt alive! For the first time in my ambitious life, I was truly thriving.
TAPPING INTO YOUR POWER
When I started my journey toward creating the life and results I desired, I wasn’t the kind of person I needed to be to create the kind of results I wanted to create. I thought I could outwork that. I thought I was supposed to outwork that. I thought that if I just worked hard enough, I’d get “there.”
But as hard as I was working, I wasn’t doing the work that really mattered, the work that would change the results I could consistently create -- the internal work. Finally, through ICM, I learned, and understood. I transformed from the inside out. I tapped into what it means to use power instead of force, and I learned how to help others tap into it, too. That is the foundation upon which my coaching practice is built and how, together, we will change your life, too, if you're ready.
I honor your courage to show up for who you called to be and what you’re called to create. It’s time to tap into your true power. Are you ready? π
