The family I always dreamed of wouldn’t have been possible without this decision

I’ve always dreamed of having a big family. We have three totally awesome (#biased) kids now, and because a lot of people know the former fact about me, they always ask: Will there be more?
The answer? Maybe. My husband and I are still figuring out a shared vision. (If you know about those conversations…you know. 😅) But here’s the thing—no matter how many kids we decide to have, one thing is crystal clear: the big family I always dreamed of wouldn’t even feel like an option if I’d stayed in a traditional 9-to-5 role.
Let me take you back to the beginning
When I had my first baby, I was working a salaried corporate position. The job came with some flexibility, but required leaving home in the 7am hour and getting home in the 6pm hour. The paycheck honestly didn’t feel like a good trade for the time I was giving up to get it.
Every morning, I rushed to get my baby out of bed, dressed, and off to daycare. By the time I picked him up, I’d already missed…everything. Evenings were a mess of over-tired tears (sometimes he cried too 😏), with dinner, bath, and bed ASAP, on repeat. No time for extra snuggles, no time to just be.
It felt like I was missing all the things I dreamed about when I wanted so much to become a mom. As the months dragged on, every morning I left the house with this knot in my stomach. I wasn’t the mom I wanted to be, and I wasn’t the wife I wanted to be. A just totally honestly, I hated that.
Said simply and ineloquently, it sucked.
But, I needed that paycheck. Me earning an income at that point in our lives was nonnegotiable. My paycheck didn’t give us the life we wanted—I wanted more income and wayyy more freedom—but we needed it.
The breaking point
It all came to a head when I asked for a raise—a raise I genuinely deserved—and got shut down. I had been giving so much to this job, and all I got was a “meeting” dismissed in about 120 seconds with a trite, “Maybe next year.”
That moment was IT—I simply refused to keep going like that. Something had to change, and clearly it wasn't going to be in my corporate role. A friend of mine had recently suggested a business idea to me I’d never even considered. I honestly had no idea if I could be successful at it, but I knew for damn sure I couldn’t stay where I was.
Taking the leap
So, my husband and I made a decision. THE decision. We sold a car, scraped together what we could, and I took the leap. I left my 9-to-5, built that “never-considered-before” idea into a six-figure business, and have never looked back.
That decision (and everything that came after) wasn’t easy, but it changed everything. Today, my life looks nothing like it did back then. I no longer feel like I have to choose between being a great wife or mom and making great money. I get to have both.
Why I build this business & brand
When I look back at that time in my life, I can see how much would have changed—and how much I wouldn’t have missed—if I’d had someone to guide me, someone that understood what my goals were, and how to get from where I was to there. I was scared, unsure of my skills, and completely overwhelmed by the idea of starting something on my own.
That’s why I do what I do now. This business and brand was built for the woman who feels like I once did. Capable and stuck. Grateful and ambitious. A little (or a lot) unsure of how to turn her ideas into income or her life into something that feels right.
Through coaching and consulting, I help women rewire their internal patterns and build income and freedom from the inside out. Whether you're a stay-at-home mom with big dreams or a high-capacity woman who's tired of doing all the right things but feeling all wrong inside—this space is for you.
